BASED is a private investment fund enabling exposure to disruptive crypto protocols, and currencies. The fund was founded by Rafael Joe and employs the talents of researchers, smart contract engineers, and individuals with experience building and managing automated trading systems for the CBOE and Binance.

The fund began as a personal trading account focused on trading Bitcoin. It has since expanded to several strategies and has returned an IRR of over 250 between 2016-2021
